SPOTLIGHT ON FAITH

The pastors of Bible Faith Church express their deep gratitude for the motorcycles that Grace4Kenya has generously provided. Over the past 2 years, 15 motorcycles have been entrusted to various pastors. Each pastor undertakes a driving course, receives a helmet, insurance, and gas reimbursement, all for an investment of $1,250 each.
The motorcycles enable the pastors to reach out to sick or weak church members who cannot walk to church, allowing them to offer fellowship and prayers. Since very few people have vehicles, they rely on walking to church. In order to accommodate this limitation, 30 small churches spread throughout this rural area. Play the video below to listen to Pastor Geoffrey as he shares his appreciation to you and the supporters of Grace4Kenya for funding the motorcycles and the impact they are having.
The landscape features undulating hills alongside a handful of mountains with only a few paved roadways. Pastors navigate off the beaten path to connect with the majority of their congregants. Additionally, the motorcycles facilitate opportunities for the pastors to come together in fellowship, providing mutual encouragement, guidance, and prayer for one another's ministries.
This is the interior of the new Murkogoi church under construction in the Lelan area. The pastors of Bible Faith Church, along with the members of Murkogoi church, have a vision to create a larger worship space, capable of accommodating over 750 individuals. The denomination desires to provide a venue for conferences, retreats, weddings, and funerals.
The dedicated members of the church began the construction process five years ago, contributing their own funds and doing what they could to start. They excavated clay from the hillside on their property, shaped the bricks, and allowed them to dry. When board members of Grace4Kenya first visited the site they had constructed the foundation and walls of the ground floor themselves.
God then inspired a donor affiliated with Grace4Kenya to assist in completing the Murkogoi church project. Their family foundation covered the costs for the walls and roof last year. In 2025, they provided funds to complete the electrical and plumbing installations, as well as to apply plaster to the interior and exterior walls.
Two new sheet metal church buildings have been constructed in the past year. One is in Sila, where services were previously held under a tent. The other is Senetwa, where gatherings took place beneath a tree. Inside these churches, the atmosphere is surprisingly warm and inviting, particularly when the praise singing commences. The Community Health Evangelism (CHE) program has paved the way for a mobile health clinic to serve the village and establish a new church.
The church buildings play a vital role in offering a dry, warm, and welcoming space for the CHE leaders to assemble villagers for worship, education, and community development initiatives. Additionally, these facilities are utilized by the Grace4Kenya funded mobile clinics, which serve approximately 200 villagers one day each month. Community members organize fundraisers to support the education of their future pastor at a Bible College.
The pastors of Bible Faith Church of Kenya play a vital role in mentoring new churches and their leaders. In partnership, CHE and the church have made considerable progress in diminishing the rates of alcoholism, which has been a significant issue affecting families in these communities.
In this setting, Pastor John Maina is seen guiding the daily morning devotionals before the Grace4Kenya supported Bible Faith Church Medical Services Hospital opens its doors. Following a worship song, he conveys a message to the staff drawn from a specific scripture passage. As the hospital's Chaplain, he also takes the time to visit patients in their rooms, offering them encouragement and prayer. Beyond these duties, Pastor Maina plays a vital role as a leader of CHE, traveling with the team to preach at village meetings and during home visits.
The George Kendagor Christian Academy has recently appointed a Chaplain who conducts weekly chapel services for students and facilitates Bible study sessions for the teachers. Each student and classroom is assigned its own memory verses.
One of the objectives of the Mobile Medical Clinics is to share the message of God and plant a church. Many villagers continue to engage in ancestral worship and depend on traditional medicine practitioners. As depicted here, Pastor Kendagor addresses the villagers before the mobile clinic commences at the newest location in Kameris, which is without a church.
Interestingly, some individuals who do not require medical assistance are attending the beginning of the mobile clinic solely to listen to the preaching. We give God all the glory for how powerfully He is moving through all the services of Grace4Kenya
